This qualification reflects the role of individuals such as production operators working in open cut coal or metalliferous mines or quarries.

This qualification is perfect for employees who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures

Packaging Rules – 13 units consisting of 3 Core and 10 Electives 

Core Units – All Core units must be completed and cannot be changed

  • Identify and assess environmental and heritage concerns.
  • Apply risk management processes.
  • Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures.

  • Communicate information.
  • Comply with site work processes/procedures.
  • Conduct surface blast hole drilling operations.
  • Assess ground conditions.
