Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Operations) reflects the role of individuals working in supervisory and technical specialist positions in civil construction.

They perform tasks involving a broad range of varied work activities most of which are specialised and within known or changing contexts.

They are responsible for the quantity and quality of their own work, as well as for the output of others.

They contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

Packaging Rules – 12 Units consisting of 5  Core and 7 Elective units 

Core Units – All Core units must be completed and cannot be changed.

• Demonstrate leadership in the workplace.
• Coordinate business operational plans.
• Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures, and programs to meet legislative requirements.
• Supervise civil works.
• Apply site risk management system

Elective Units on offer 

• Apply the principles of earthworks construction.
• Supervise civil works contractors.
• Administer contracts.
• Manage civil plant and resources.
• Supervise dust and noise control.
• Prepare for operational works

Plus, any two of the following

• Conduct hydraulic excavator operations.
• Conduct wheel loader operations.
• Conduct tracked dozer operations.
• Conduct grader operations.
• Conduct articulated haul truck operations.
• Conduct rigid haul truck operations
